This is Mrs. Bizzell’s second year at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic School. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and feels fortunate to belong to the OLACS community.

Mrs. Black
Development Director

Ms. Black has served as Development Director at OLACS for 17 years. Her degree is in Secondary Education with a double major of English and Drama. In addition to her experience in education and development, she has seven years of business experience in marketing and advertising.
"I love working with OLACS parent volunteers on Annual Fund, Grandparents'/Special Others' Day, Senior Alumni Luncheon and many other special events. OLACS is an awesome school!"

Mrs. Brown
Admissions Director and Registrar

Mrs. Brown holds a bachelor’s in education for grades 4-8, with a primary concentration in math and the secondary concentration in social studies. She also holds a master’s degree in education for grades 4-8 with the primary concentration of math and the secondary concentration in language arts. She also has an additional certification in gifted education and was the Gifted Coordinator for four years at a middle school in Cobb County. Mrs. Brown has a total of 12 years teaching experience in middle school education. She has been at OLACS for four years. In addition to being the previous Curriculum Coordinator, Mrs. Brown continues to teach the fifth grade MAC class and is leading the Future City groups in the middle school enrichment course.

Ms. Kelley

This is Linda Kelley’s third year at OLACS. Before coming here, she was the school psychologist at Holy Redeemer in Alpharetta for eight years. She has enjoyed empowering students with learning differences by remediating deficit areas and teaching them study strategies. Linda started her teaching career as an elementary teacher at St. Joseph’s in Marietta. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Emmanuel College in Boston. She has an Ed.S. degree in School Psychology. Linda is certified to teach early childhood, regular elementary education, and special education.

Mrs. Smith

Mrs. Bennie Smith earned a Bachelor of Arts in history and holds a life teaching certification in Georgia. Being the longest serving member of the faculty, Mrs. Smith is honored to have taught with the Sisters of Mercy, the religious order that established the foundations and traditions of OLACS. While Mrs. Smith’s teaching experience has included teaching in public schools and teaching internationally, she is proud to call OLACS her educational home.
